Meet Jay
Hey bride, I'm Jay. I'm probably your kind of weird.
In high school I started mucking around making short films. I didn't think much of it at the time, I just loved creating things. Before I knew it I'd picked up a camera, and that was pretty much it.
I was hooked.
Over the next 15 years I photographed absolutely everything I could get my hands on. Cars, people, nightclubs, commercial campaigns, abandoned buildings, weddings... if there was a story to tell, I wanted to be there with a camera.
To be fair... I'm still exactly the same now.
Along the way I spent several years working as a disability support worker, where I taught creativity and self-expression through photography. Watching someone who thought they "weren't creative" suddenly light up because they'd made something they were proud of was pretty bloody special.
That job taught me a lot about people.

I'm a little alternative, swear more than I probably should, and I'm not interested in turning your wedding into some polished performance. I care about the real stuff. Having a good laugh over something completely stupid, obsessing over the little details, and quietly capturing the moments that happen when everyone forgets the camera is there.
